The article deals with manifestation in certain parts of the early Stoics doctrine of the incorporeal (the scope and content of the concept and concept-related theoretical positions), as well as controversy with other philosophers. The author discovered a circle of philosophical problems related to this doctrine: the problem of plurality and unity, the problem of movement and stillness, the psychophysical problem and the problem of the relationship between necessity and free will. She suggests an interpretation according to which the central thesis about the impossibility for the incorporeal to connect to bodies and get separated from them is an argument in favor of the early Stoics understanding of the nature of the soul and its relationship with an external body as a mixture of elements.
