The paper focuses on the evolution of adaption strategies of the rural society at various stages of agrarian reform. Depending on the goals of social adaptation, two types of adaptation strategies are revealed: progressive-innovative and reactive-passive. The author describes the corresponding models of social and economic behavior of the population, as well as institutional forms (social and economic lifestyle structures). Special attention is paid to the analysis of implementation mechanisms of the reactive-passive adaptation strategy of rural communities and evaluation of the role of existing life styles in maintaining the balance of economic and social components of transformation.

Особое место в статье уделяется анализу механизмов реализации реактивно-пассивной стратегии адаптации сельских сообществ и оценке значения реально существующих укладов в обеспечении баланса экономического и социального компонентов трансформации.
