The article focuses on the correlation between the good and the indifferent in the early stoic philosophy. The main question is whether a Stoic sage belongs to the field of the good or to the indifferent. If the sage belongs to the good, there is no need for acting in the field of the indifferent. However, there exist some fragments that show that a sage dwells in the field of the indifferent which means that the good and the indifferent are interrelated. Exploring this discrepancy, the author of this article comes to the conclusion that the good and the indifferent are correlated as the theoretical and the practical.
