The author draws on the experience of the Russian transformation and the Third World «catching up modernization» to analyze the problem of the universality of social development in the course of integration of the global space. Arguments are provided for the need to elaborate the evolutionary paradigm of social development and further analyze the conglomeratic structure of the social space of non-western societies which is a result of the inclusion of these societies into global integration processes.
