The demographic dynamics in the central Asian region are represented by differently directed processes which are determined by different dominant factors such as racial, religious, natural, climatic and others (the state policy, economic basis, global processes, domestic requirements of the individual and the family, etc.). The territories west of the centre of Asia (the republic of Tuva) are characterized as territories with low demographics and the small size of the family (Altai, Khakassia). The eastern part of this region (the republic of Tuva, Buryat republic, Mongolia, China) displays the opposing tendencies. At present, the conditions in the republic of Khakassia are closer to the situation in the western part of the Central Asian region and the western area of Russia as a whole. At the same time, the changes of the family institution and demographics in Khakassia can be characterized as heterogeneous and diverse.
