В статье рассматриваются особенности механизма разрешении споров, закрепленного в Конвенции по морскому праву 1982 г., дается анализ организации и процедуры разрешения споров Международного трибунала по морскому праву. Автор раскрывает эволюцию судебной практики данного органа, дает описание наиболее важных дел. Формулируются прогнозы относительно будущего Трибунала.
In the article the features of the dispute resolution mechanism enshrined in the Convention on the Law of the Sea in 1982 are considered, an analysis of the organization and dispute resolution procedures of the International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea is done. The author reveals the evolution of the jurisprudence of the body, gives a description of the most important cases. At the end of the article he formulates predictions about the future of the Tribunal.
