Учебное пособие предназначено для оказания методической помощи бакалаврам при изучении дисциплины «Методология финансов» (входит в раздел С.3 «Вариативная часть (дисциплины по выбору студента)» основной образовательной программы бакалавриата по направлению подготовки 080100 «Экономика». Пособие подготовлено с учетом требований Федеральных государственных образовательных стандартов третьего поколения.
Цель дисциплины «методология финансов» — формирование системного видения относительно внутренней структуры финансов в широком смысле термина и приобретение умений и навыков находить новые направления экономических исследований при помощи современных методов и средств.
В пособии освещены основы методологии финансов с акцентом на системный подход и анализ и использование экономико-математических средств и взаимосвязь с мировыми тенденциями экономического развития; сжато представлена история финансов и финансовых инноваций; показано отражение финансов, банковского дела, рынка ценных бумаг и страхования в важнейших классификаторах и классификациях (включая принятую в мировом экономическом сообществе классификацию JEL); проблемы, которые возникают в связи с неоднозначностью финансовой терминологии, и возможности частотного анализа для их решения; предпосылки возникновения, виды и базовые модели финансовых инноваций.

The purpose of the course "Methodology of Finance" is the formation of the systemic knowledge on the internal structure of finance in the broad sense of the term and the acquisition of skills to find new areas of economic research using modern methods and tools.
The guide highlights the basics of finance methodology with an emphasis on a systematic approach and analysis and the use of economic and mathematical tools and linkages with the global trends of economic development; briefly presented the history of finance and financial innovation; shows a reflection of finance, banking, securities market and insurance major classifications and the classifications (including the adoption of a global economic community classification JEL); problems that arise in connection with the ambiguity of financial terminology, and the possibility of frequency analysis to address them; predictors of, types and basic models of financial innovation.
